Jair Correia

  Visual artist, filmmaker, writer, mask maker, theater director, set designer, and graphic artist, Jair Correia received the award for Best Film Director in 1982 by APCA - Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte, with the film “Two Strange Women” and also the State Governor Award. In the visual arts, he develops personal work and was present in the leading art salons in the country, including the XXI National Plastic Arts Salon where he received the Brasília Plastic Arts Prize and the 21st São Paulo International Biennial in 1991. He presided over the 17th Salon of Contemporary Art in Ribeirão Preto, and participated as a member of the Jury in other important salons. Produced for the group Fora do sériO all the shows since 92, including Mistério Bufo (92), O Asno (94), O Gato Malhado e a Andorinha Sinhá (96), Helênica (99), O Casamento do Capitão Cagapau (01 ), Onde não houver um inimigo urge criar um (02), A Ilha do Dr. Moreau (05), ferramentas da casa quebrada (18) and O Nariz (22). He made scenography, props, and masks for the shows and directed four, with Auto da Barca do Inferno (03) nominated for the 2003 Shell Prize. He studied theatrical mask techniques at the Seminario Laboratorio Internazionale, at the Centro Maschere e Strutture Gestuali in Padova, Italy in 96 and 98 with Donato Sartori as master. His masks were exhibited at Centro Cultural São Paulo (00), at MARP, Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto (00), at the Mostra de Artes do Cariri (06), and at the Centro Cultural Horácio Cervantes in Colima, Mexico (08). Jair Correia won the 2012 Funarte Contemporary Art Award with the exhibition "Icons - Other Words". In 2022, Editora Viseu released his book "O Proprietário".

Miriam Fontana

Actress, theater director, storyteller, and teacher. His academic training took courses in Pedagogy and Performing Arts at UNICAMP, and since 1988 he has been a member of Grupo Fora do sériO.   From the show, “Arlecchino”, by Dario Fo, directed by Neyde Veneziano, he intensified his studies of the theatrical mask, commedia dell'arte, street theater, the encounter with the contemporary spectator, the possibilities of the theatrical space beyond the stage, and the exercise of creative collaboration between everyone on the team. She worked as a teacher and coordinator of the Theater / Performing Arts Course at Centro Universitário Barão de Mauá from 1998 to 2015 in Ribeirão Preto. His works in theater direction exalt the strength of the actor in the work he directs.  “Almost a Bibelô”, “Hellenic”, “The Story of the Boat”, “The Donkey”, and “King of the World” are some of the shows. As a cultural producer, she highlights the holding of the 1st and 2nd Meetings of Group Theater, in the city of Ribeirão Preto, the magazine Máscara, the video “Journey to the World of the Mask”, and the artistic management of Theatro Pedro II (2001–2004). In 2014/2015 he was a member of the Commission for the Elaboration and Writing of the State Plan for Culture of the State of São Paulo. He recently participated in CONADRAMA (National Congress of Dramaturgy) as a speaker. Currently, she has intensified her role as a storyteller and is the Coordinator of the Nucleus of Storytellers at the Ribeirão Preto Book and Reading Foundation; currently directs the show "Gulliver, a different giant", based on the book "The Cat Who Liked Cenoura", by Rubem Alves, with Cia. Tertúlia, project awarded by PROAC 2016.
